The body of a middle-aged woman was found on a beach in the Parque Natural de Níjar yesterday.
The emergency call centre was alerted to the presence of the body around 10.25h, floating in the surf on Black Beach.
The Guardia Civil and an ambulance were sent to the scene and the paramedica confirmed that the woman, aged 65 years old, was dead.
No further information has been disclosed as to her nationality or how she had met her death.
