Another dead dolphin/porpoise was found on a Costa Tropical beach Thursday morning by somebody out walking along the shore.

The creature was found on the caletilla in Almuñécar and the Town Hall took charge of the animal, instructing the municipal cleaning company (FCC) to remove it so that it could be buried.

These finds no longer seem to be an unusual event along the Costa Tropical, unfortunately.

Editorial note: in cases like this, the provincial press invariably reports the creatures as ‘delfines,’ regardless of whether they are dolphins or porpoises, which is surprising as the later does have a separate name, ‘marsopa.’
