Trousers Not Skirts | Costa Tropical Gazette News

A private junior school in Granada has decided that both boys and girls must wear trousers.

The school run by a religious order has decided to do away with generations of standard school uniforms by banishing the skirt from the school uniform, which has swathes of parents riled.

The uniform trousers must be 100% cotton, with two back pockets for boys and 97% cotton with only one pockets for girls.

This school year it will only affect first-year primary pupils (who will remain dressed like this for the rest of their time at that school) so that within eight or nine years, school uniform skirts will have completely disappeared

So far, parents have been collecting signatures against the abolition of the skirt but they haven’t swayed the school board’s decision.
