Between Monday night and Tuesday morning in the Vega de Río Verde area of Almuñécar almost 19 litre pers square metre were registered.
If you prefer, that’s equivalent to 19mm per sq/m or three quarters of an inch. This brings up the total to 191 litres per sq/m since the end of summer.
This, obviously, is far from enough but at least it has helped the general situation, especially with avocado, mango and nispera harvests about to begin.
The rainfall during Monday night/Tuesday morning varied very little in different parts of the municipality, with Peña Escrita registering 25 litres per sq/m. and 17 litres per sq/m in the Pago de Guerra area.
