This morning there was no longer a Guardia Civil tent in the parking area at the entrance to Nigüelas but we did managed to speak with two officers in a patrol car.
It appears that the search in and around the village has drawn a blank so they are possibly extending the search area into the rest of the Valle de Lecrín and perhaps into the city of Granada itself.
Iván had been visiting his parents who live in Níguelas (his birth place) although he now lives in New York City and works as a university professor. It seems that he left home Monday morning with taking money, ID or his mobile phone with him.
The only information that that we can be certain about is that he had not been found at the time of writing this article.
