School Kids Clean up River

Around 50 high-school kids (2ºESO – 13-year olds) from IES Antigua Sexi in Almuñécar carried out a cleaning-up operation along the urban section of Río Seco.

The clean-up was organised by the Chelonian Association and by the school itself.

“This year we decided to carry out this campaign again, which aims to heighten awareness amongst our pupils for the need to take care of our environment,” explained school teachers, María Ángeles and Isabel.

They also explained that prior to going out on the clean-up operation, they had covered the subject of Circular and Lineal Economywhat type of rubbish is generated and how long it remains before decaying completely.
