A man in his late 70s died around noon today when his quad left the track and tumbled down a barranco.
The accident took place in the payment the cerval area, which is inland from the village of La Herradura.
The 112 Emergency number received several calls alerting them to the accident around 12.40h. The Guardia Civil, Policía Local, fire service and an ambulance were all sent to the scene of the accident.
The 79-year-old man had plunged to the bottom of the ravine about six meters below the track, not far from the A-7 highway.
Eyewitness said that the victim didn’t survive the fall, which was confirmed by the paramedic aboard the ambulance.
