No Masks on Public Transport

The Minister for Health, Carolina Darias, has announced that masks will no longer be necessary on public transport from the 7th of February.

However, masks are still obligatory in medical centres, hospitals, pharmacies and homes for the elderly, for both workers and visitors.

This proposal will go before the Board of Ministers on Tuesday the 7th of February where it will be approved and come into effect the next day.

Before this, Minister Darias will convoke the CInterterritorial Council of the National Health System (CISNS) to coordinate this measure with the Health Services of the autonomous, regional governments.

She said that each and every one of the steps taken during the epidemic have found consensus within the CISNSfor which reason she expresses her gratitude to all these administrations for their collaboration, as well as to the thousands of health workers.
