New Year’s Eve Call Outs

Posted on

We published the 112 press release for Christmas Eve so it is only logical to do the same with the New Year’s Eve, call-out report.

The 112 call-centre handled 1,999 calls from all over Andalucía, starting at 15.00h on Saturday the 31st and concluding at 06.00h on Sunday the 1st of January. That number is slightly up on last year, but nothing major.

Most calls (947) were for medical assistance, then came those requiring the police (455) and then the fire service (168). Traffic problems accounted for another 100 and the rest were for social services, rescues and problems with basic services (water/electricity).

Looking at the figures by province, Seville had the most with 510 call outs, followed by Malaga (411), Cadiz (265) and Grenada (261). The quietest were Almeria (161), Cordoba (155), Huelva (125) and Jaen (111).
