The National Missing Persons agency has confirmed that the teenage girl who had gone missing from Loja a month ago has reappeared safe and sound.
The SOS Disappeared Association had put out an alert containing the 14-year-old’s name and description on different social-media platforms.
Police suspected that she had run off rather than having been kidnapped as she had disappeared from a home for minors. Laura Dolores Esquina had gone missing on the 11th of November.
SoSdesaparecidos is a non-profit association established in Caravaca de La Cruz (Murcia) in 2010 but had been active since 2007. It collaborates, thanks to a team of 32 volunteers, in the helping to find missing persons by publishing details on social media
So often when a teenager goes missing, especially a young girl, it ends in tragedy, so it is good to report on a happy ending for once rather than the discovery of a body.
