A leisure boat suffered an engine failure in front of the coast of Almería and was left drifting for hours.

Furthermore, wave action was bringing the craft closer and closer to a rocky part of the coastline.

Fortunately, their plight was spotted from land and somebody phoned in to the emergency-call service, 112.

Immediately, Maritime Rescue‘s rescue launch, Salvamar Gienahset sail from Motril Port and much to the relief of the two people onboard, found them before it was too late.

Salvamar Gienah then took the leisure craft under tow and brought the passengers and craft back to Motril Port without further incident.
