The Central Government has just categorised the work needed on sea defences along Costa Tropical as Obras de Emergencias.
This would entail earmarking 1,198,000 euros for work on the beaches in the municipalities of Albuñol, Sorvilán, Rubite and Almuñécar.
The Provincial Deputy Delegate for Central Government, Inmaculada Lopez Calahorro, considers that Costas has been “efficient” in its drawing up of damage reports and that it has done so with alacrity. She said that the coastal work would commence as soon as the work contracts were put out for tender.
albuñol: La Rabita Beach will have replacement sand lorried in and the breakwater at the easten end repaired. The sand needed will be taken from the Rambla de Albuñol and the Rambla de Huarea. As for El Pozuelo Beachit will also have sand lorried in to replace that which was lost.
