When you see Infoca vehicles shooting along and helicopters overhead… but no smoke, you’d probably wonder what was going on…

What was going on in the municipality of Insta over in the province of Málaga was a fire drill, which was carried out next to the The Conception Reservoir.

The informs and other emergency units, some 200 personnel, tackled an imaginary fire to test out their coordination and speed of deployment, etc, although you wouldn’t think that they needed much practice with the number of times that they are being called out to tackle fires lately.

The drill, which was to tackle a fire on the middle hill, started at 10.00h yesterday, lasting about three hours but not before warning locals not to panic if they saw fire engines go whizzing by.
