The German man, whose frozen body was found this week on the Sierra Nevada, wasn’t even wearing a coat.

In fact, when the 32-year old set off at the beginning of November for the Mulhacen Peak, he was only wearing jeans, trainer shoes and a T-shirt.

Apparently the man had been staying at an alternative-lifestyle commune in the area, but he was last seen on the 3rd in Bubión in the Alpujarra Granada.

His mother tried to reach him on his mobile between the 4th and the 17th, which was when his phone stopped working.

Editorial comment: going up to the top of the Sierra Nevada in the Middle of August dressed like that is asking for trouble, but doing it in November? There have been several cases of the Guardia Civil mountain-rescue teams rescuing people poorly dressed for such outings or in the worse cases like this one, recovering their bodies.
