Consulting The Locals | Costa Tropical Gazette News

Lobres has grown a lot over the past decade or so, with more inhabitants and more cars, so much so that traffic has become a problem.

For this reason, and with the objective of improving mobility within the village, the First Councillor for Lobres, Nelsón Ligero, is going to ask the villagers themselves how the traffic flow should be handled.

“It’s the locals that best know this situation because they live with it,” said the councillor, adding, “it is our policy to carry this out in a consensuated manner.”

For the people who live in Lobres to make known their ideas, their suggestions can be left in the Citizen Service Office in the Town Hall, or online in the General Register. They will have until the 10th of February next year to do so.

Later on there will also be a meeting where suggestions can be discussed in person about parking, bottlenecks, no-parking areas and one-way traffic.
