The Almuñécar branch of IU Podemos has requested for a bus shelter to be located at the end of the Cabria access road (Calle Pintor Domínguez de Haro) in Taramay and one in Torrecuevas, too.
In fact, they made this request some years ago but the idea was never accepted, “despite many locals and tourists wanting one,” they claim.
At present, the bus that covers the Velilla route goes as far as the roundabout where Zaragoza Main Street begins (see photo) and returns along La Galera Road Street.
This, the IU-Can we considers, is too far away from the residents of the winch, Loma de Curumbico and the beach itself. This is problematic for the elderly because of the steepness of the road to reach it.
The Councillor for IU-Can we also requested during a Plenary Meeting of the Town Council in September that a bus shelter be erected in Torrecuevas near Sale Luciano. To date, they say, they have received no reply from the Mayor.
