The Policía Nacional based in Motril arrested two Spanish men and a British woman when their vehicle was stopped within the municipality.
The two men, aged 54 and 42 (the latter has a criminal record) and the 49-year-old woman had 39 doses of heroine (papelinas), 2 small packets of cocaine and eight methadone tablets.
The arrest took place in the San Antonio neighborhood in the early afternoon of Monday the 21st. The officers in the patrol car observed three individuals hurriedly jump into a vehicle and speed off, so they set off in pursuit.
Shortly after, a second patrol car, alerted by the first, intercepted the car and pulled them over. The British woman was at the wheel.
The three suspects were taken to the Motril police station, charged and later appeared before a magistrate before being released pending trial.
