The Environmental Department of Salobreña Town Hall has launched a campaign entitled, “Is Salobreña Important to You?”
The main drive of the campaign is to persuade dog owners to pick up their mutt’s excrement.
Actually, they word it differently and say it is to “heighten awareness amongst dog owners to the importance of not letting their pet foul the town’s streets.”
How does the Environmental Department intend to achieve this? By sticking up eight, large posters on bus-stop shelters. They will also be placed at the entrance to the parks.
To round it off there will also be adverts on the local radio and on social media.
Editorial comment: fine ’em until their eyes bleed — that’ll make them pick up their canine landmines!
