The Public Prosecutor has recommended a 14-year, prison sentence for a man who attacked another in the summer of 2021 as he came out of a bar.
The incident took place at 19.40h on the 19th of August in front of a bar on the avenue of europe. Since then he has been remanded in custody to await trail.
The 36-year-old suspect had been waiting outside with a knife with a large blade, knowing that the intended victim was inside drinking. As soon as he came out, a heated argument ensued, turning into a brawl and ending with the stabbing.
Although the victim managed to dodge man of the thrusts, he still received wounds to the chest, right thigh and left armpit. The victim reported the act of aggression the next day.
The Public Prosecutor considers that the intentions of the accused was to take the life of the victim, as some of the wounds if they had driven home would have punctured vital organs or main arteries/veins.
The case will come to court in Granada on the 1st of December.
