Air Nostrum Cancellations | Costa Tropical Gazette News

The charter company, Air Nostrum has cancelled 18 flights in and out of Granada between today and the 3rd of January owing to industrial action.

The Spanish Union of Airline Pilots (Sepla)decided that it would be a good wheeze to call a strike slap bang in the middle of Christmas. The affected flights are all between Granada and Madrid.

The affected flights are:

Granada-Madrid: 21:20h and Madrid-Granada, 19:40h today
Granada-Madrid: 13:30h & 21:20h and Madrid-Granada 11:50h & 19:40h on the 27th
Granada-Madrid: 13:30h & 21:20h and Madrid-Granada 11:50h & 19:40h on the 29th
Granada-Madrid: 21:20h and Madrid-Granada, 19:40h on the 30th of December and the 2nd of January
Granada-Madrid: 13:30h & 21:20h and Madrid-Granada 11:50h & 19:40h on the 3rd of January

On Nostrum has said that affected passengers can opt for their money back or an alternative flight, or on alternative days, depending on availability.

The problem is, according to the union, that the company is sticking to a 3% pay rise for 2023 and 2025 whereas the union wants a rise linked to the cost of living.

Editorial Comment: Great tactic! Perhaps they can find jobs for their pilots as bus drivers or refuse-lorry drivers when the company goes down the drain because passengers don’t want to use them anymore.
